Which Boston Sports Team will be the First to win a Championship this Decade?

As most of you already know, Boston has been the hub of sports for the past two decades, winning 12 championships in the process. From the Patriots dynasty (still going), to the Red Sox randomness of great seasons, to the Bruins having two more shots at the Cup, and the Celtics still trying to get banner 18 for the first time since 2008, the city is certainly trying to add more. All four teams have a decent to really good chance at winning one or a few during this new decade, which begs the question, who’s most likely to hold a trophy first this decade?

What is Dallas doing?

The Cowboys are apparently “America’s Team” but their lack of success all those years before Dak Prescott has always made me wonder what the hell were people thinking. Once Prescott became the starter over Tony Romo in 2016, and Ezekiel Elliott replaced Demarco Murray, the Cowboys made it to the playoffs as the number one seed. Amazing, huh? Brady & Belichick versus Wade Phillips

Wade Phillips has been coaching in the NFL for a LONG time.  Phillips has been a defensive coordinator for 8 teams in the NFL (including Denver twice) since 1981, and has been coaching in the NFL since 1976.  The current Rams DC best accomplishment was being the defensive coordinator of the Super Bowl Champion Denver Broncos in 2015, who had one of the stingiest defenses in the history of the modern NFL. What winning a conference title on the road means in the Super Bowl

For the first time since the 2012 season, the Super Bowl will feature two teams that won their respective conference championships on the road.

Super Bowl LIII will be the second time in the 21st century the road team in each conference championship game will face off for the Lombardi Trophy.

This made me want to do a bit more digging.  In general, how successful are teams that were on the road and won their conference championship in the Super Bowl?

Conference Championship Game Predictions

Well here we are, conference championship Sunday.

After the home team won each game in the divisional round, each conference championship will feature the 1 and 2 seeds in each respective conference.

New England at Kansas City.

Los Angeles at New Orleans.

Each conference championship game will be a rematch from the regular season, so lets recap those games before going into predictions.
